Wow sorry to hear that Chad. I know what you mean. I doubt I would be able to go back to my single 2D monitor setup now. Definitely spoiled by the Rift. It's not just looking out of the side windows either. It's "feeling" the braking zones and where you are on the track.
The things we do to make our hardware work... many years ago I had my gaming headphones fail. The only other headphones I had were connected inside my snowboard helmet. So I did a raid in World of Warcraft sitting there with a snowboard helmet on!
Hope the Oculus folks can get you back up and running.
Maybe a quick fix would be to get a cheap pair of earbuds and run the wiring along the Rift cable to an audio port on your PC?
