So after paying my taxes probably in region of a few micro seconds i accidentally ordered a new wheel kit ;D

yep cant wait ;D if i was married not sure my wife would agree/understand/reason/ever forget or let me forget if she stayed ;D
from £340 ish for T500 to £2345 with HE Pro pedals included i would recon most would be in for new car 10yrs worth of holidays for the misses and still not get laid for 6 months ;D
get plenty of time to set wheel up mind you :)

Nice piece of kit Simon! I have looked at the do it yourself plans out there for direct drive wheels. I have built and retro fitted CNC mills and lathes and basically the motor is a stepper or servo with a driver, although OSW motor would have much more torque at low RPM than a motor you would use for machining applications. Cracks me up how there is a great big E-stop button in the kit... it's like the thing could break your thumbs if it ran wild ;D

yep could break thumbs put out shoulders recommend 20% max first setting up ;D
