Nice piece of kit Simon!
I have looked at the do it yourself plans out there for direct drive wheels.  I have built and retro fitted CNC mills and lathes and basically the motor is a stepper or servo with a driver, although OSW motor would have much more torque at low RPM than a motor you would use for machining applications.
Cracks me up how there is a great big E-stop button in the kit... it's like the thing could break your thumbs if it ran wild  ;D

the servo kit was posted today re arranged delivery to work as be there from 10am till 7pm this week.
I have  a thick 10mm ally plate to drill to mount the servo on and another one so i can bolt through my desk and sandwich it together :)

I remember looking into OMP gloves and wanting the classic styled ones. In the end I wore another pair of gloves I had, just very light sporty material, to prevent the moisture exchange with my wheel (albeit I only began doing that too late).

Your ingame multi shouldn't be that low! It should be around 1.0 for most adequately calibrated content, with some like the Radical turned down to .75-.80. Run rF2 in DX9, use the FFB Clipping plug in, and then set the multiplier, which will likely be near the range I mentioned. Then go to your wheel's profile and lower the strength there if you need to.
