I went ahead and bought one from Amazon. Been wanting one for a while and I have been waiting for the price to go down.

It will be interesting to see if the price drop will allow the Rift to catch up to the Vive's adoption rate. Even at half the price the Vive is still more attractive to me than the Rift.

Actually I think the minimum GPU is the GTX 960. But I don't know what they mean by "Alternative Graphics Card" in this link https://support.oculus.com/help/oculus/170128916778795/

I ran the compatibility tool and it said my system was ok.

i do that to every 6 months tax for me now. one due this month so hoping enough with my save money for my OSW kit plus wheel
