RF2 not the only one now

I didn't know they where streaming the WFG top 20 guys doing the second stage of the qualifying. I have only watch the first part of thisl, but the commentators do confirm that RF2 Pro is used by most of the F1 teams (take that iRacing) and that the Silverstone track is a laser scanned version. Also interesting to see the lines and speed they take through some of the corners.

I believe it was mentioned in the initial WFG announcement that rF2 was going to be used for the qualifications. I assumed that they meant that they would be using other racing simulators for other portions of the competitions.

This is great promo for rF2, which they don't seem to be making the most of. Three rounds of qualifying, top 20 do one of these very polished races, nice commentary, super high standards, and then top 5 from each race compete in the finals. Very cool. Lots of track extending going on tho

I thought it was interesting that in one of the opening ads within the video when they are introducing the top sim drivers, every one of those guys was using a normal chair as opposed to a racing seat.
Also, I love when they show the guy driving in socks. I wonder if the official McLaren sim drivers have official McLaren driving socks!!!

Some of those guys have simrig seats and receive free equipment and most only use a T500/300 or Fanatec V2.0 or 2.5, no direct drive. Anyway, on the iRacing portion of the series... They got much better tracks! And having to play with ERS settings during a race will be a big factor.
