one of the key things of knowing where to let go someone is knowing the track, learn the track. if its multiclass then do laps in the other class track to see where they would struggle trying an overtake, on some corner exits you can turn off the racing line and lift a bit without you losing time, on others you just have to hold your lines as predictable as posible and let the faster guy do the tricky part, just whatever you do avoid slowing too much in the middle of the track also general awareness, is that guy behind me because he pitted and was way ahead? dont fight him if you have to pit later too, he is in another race. am i losing too much time trying to fend off a guy thats 1.5s faster? let him go, save tyres and trail him, maybe you can get him later, if you're confident enough and the gap isnt big just fight him. blue flags? then same as multiclass, just dont fight it, be predictable, dont brake hard and lift off the racing line on safe straights.

Wasn't s397 supposed to release Zandvoort along with the McLaren?
Thought so too.
I found the setup options in McLaren to be quite limited so I wonder how Scott @ friends got the time under 2:00 Do you setup the car with the same principles as with EGT mod? Sure I know it's not all just setup
i just closed the radiator and brake vents a bit also 2 clicks less rear wing. (thats all of it really) im still getting used to the car and my s2 was garbage.

i dont like they're putting resources on getting a store out and dlcs already when we dont have a proper dx11 update, plugins or a decent usable ui.

judging the track list looks like theres only 4 new road tracks. in pcars 2 Red Bull Ring Fuji Speedway Circuit of the Americas Knockhill Racing Circuit
and the usual nords laser scan everyone gets.
most of it is reused content, which means there is a slight chance they had unused resourced that they could use for tyre development and other stuff.
rest of tracks are rally cross, karts, ice, ovals, etc. Chesterfield Karting Circuit (karts) Daytona International Speedway (oval) Dirtfish Rally School (rally) Indianapolis Motor Speedway (oval) Lankebanen - Hell (rallycross) Loheac-Bretagna (rally cross) Mercedes-Benz Ice Track (no idea wtf this is) Sampala Circuit (no idea what this is) Sportsland SUGO (rallycross?)

Thanks. I like this guy, but interesting how he start off by saying the set up in sim racing is different to RL, so much for although those who want their experience to be as close to real as possible .
A shame also, as I thought that sims like iracing and rfactor did model as much as the could on the real world.
sometimes the best way to setup a car in games is finding little exploits in the tyremodels or whatever physics the game does. think about 0 camber pcars but applies in a sense to rfactor and iracing.

It didn't look that bright on my screen (dx9). I didn't encounter such kerb problem either despite going over most of the kerbs, weird.
i managed to fly https://youtu.be/pKguV0puhWg

i use window licker cam, sort of cockpit as close to the bonnet cuz single screen. right now im going minimalist with the HUD only using wedge hud. fuel, laps, gaps i think and i cycle the rf2 display for particular stuff. i do rely in the hud gear indicator as i go so close i cant read the motec and sometimes i forget which gear im using :p
