General Discussion / Re: Post your Rigs!! Make Chad jealous!!

I believe I linked from Google drive... But ow that I say that I need to double check.

Yup looks like I linked it directly from my Google account. I think I was having trouble linking it initially but was able to get it working... Now how did I do that? I think I had to go to a secondary website that created the embedded linkable address for me. Should've saved the site address.

The league poster is embeded from the league dropbox account. I recall having to make a change to the link address to make the embeding work though. Also consider we have a Dropbox Pro account. I dont know if that makes a difference or not.

I don't believe the link worked.

There's no need to report your absence from any particular race. Only if you're going to be withdrawing from the series. We pretty much run with whom ever shows up for the race.

Apparently you are a believer in the "save money by not buying a case" club. LOL Nice bit of kit there.

Jut in case you were concerned about what my rig looked like:

I have removed the left most screen because I have VR now and dont need the triples. I actually gave he screen to my nephew as well as one of my older retired gaming rigs. Compared to what he was using it may as well be a new computer.

That seems odd.

That sounds nice. We could call it an invitational. VRC 4 hours of Lemans Invitational (Or something like that).

But I would like to hold this event after our current series has been completed. That would allow time for planning and advertising.

yes. why should multiclass be a pre-requisite for endurance racing?

Multi-class racing is not mandatory, but I and others have wanted to move toward multi-class racing once we had enough drivers on grid consistently. I don't think we are there yet. Perhaps we do a one-off race after the gt3 series to try it out. Kind of like the one-off endurance race.

The idea of endurance racing has come up in the past. At those times it was determined that there simply were not enough drivers available to take part. Now that the league has more members I think we can start to entertain the idea again. Mixed class racing has always been my desire here too but the number of drivers has also made this difficult to do. We can again entertain this for the next series as well. But that is an entirely separate discussion.

I think a lower time endurance race with multiple driver teams would likely be more workable for the first race. something along the line of a 3 hour race with 3 drivers or a 4 hour race with 2 driver teams (Depending on how much time each driver wishes to driver per stint). Any longer than that and I think we will have less interest.

I will say that the 45 minute race felt like it flew by this last week. But the time on track is relative and for members coming from PC, AC or iracing where races tend to be around 15 minutes, a 45-60 Minute race IS an endurance race. Certainly when I started in Sim-racing some years ago a 60 minute race felt like FOREVER!!!!!!. But now it seems swift.

As we move through the GT3 Season we can assess the viability of a one off endurance race. (Mixed class racing has always been my desire here too but the number of drivers has also made this difficult to do.)

never thought this group could grow that large.

I think this is due to several factors.

1. Admins that are attentive to the membership.
2. Members who are of the same mindset.
3. S397 producing high quality content and improving an already good Sim.
4. rF2 becoming a more respected sim since S397 has put so much work into it.

I don't see any reason to believe that rF2 and conversely VRC will lose any of its steam soon. Lets keep this up.

Hopefully one of the setup guru's here will be able to help in this regard. I typically don't do a lot of suspension adjustments outside of ARB and ride height. As someone else here has said the dampers seems to be a black art.

The bitrate for the force feedback in rfactor 2 seems to be a bit higher and I think that makes the graph look a bit more responsive.

If there is a time to make sure all things are included and proper it is now. If there are skins to add please do it now before we get to Sunday. (in their final configurations). If you are not ready, you can add your skin to the pack mid way though the series.

Thanks for joining us HaRmermania. LOL, Just a joke about the name as I believe I called you Hamermania the first time I saw you on the server.

In any case, Thanks for joining us. Currently we are in the midst of a server provider change so please be patient as we work on the kinks in the online server host. The league has some significantly fast drivers. I am seriously jealous. I am a mid-packer at best and a back-marker at worst so if you lap me don't be surprised.

In any case, if you have any questions please feel free to ask them.
