Didn"t know you were running S6"S for the race Tech, for me S7"S are only maybe 1 to 2 tenths slower and last much better.Your probably smoother than me,I haven"t tried to race S6"S since Malaysia but I had my degrees of rotation out of wack back then and burned up my tires within 4 laps.

Rick said it"s because when Simon put up his server he has a different version of the EGT mod and I guess it was before they implemented the fuel mixture settings in RF2.I noticed that also,so you"ll have to tweak your setup on the race server ;D

rFactor 2 / Re: Mclaren WFG Round 2, First Place Qualifier - Analysis
« on: August 22, 2017, 03:40:06 pm »

I usually turn between 100 and maybe 200 laps for this EGT mod, mainly because I"m finding the previous track setup needs alot of adjusting and not just the gearing. Also, some of these tracks are new to me also,so you want to make sure you have all 3 sectors down as well as you can.Obviously some people can"t or don"t want to practice as much as others and with the WFG competition your searching for every hundreth of a second in either the setup or your driving lines, so a thousand laps sounds like over kill to most but if you want to make it in the top 20 I guess thats whats needed.

And yes your right Matt,Jimi is really fast,if Mikee and Wyatt come back this could be an amazing season.

Yeah he"s really good, uses all the race track.I believe that"s Enzo Bonito,I might be wrong though.I was watching a replay last night of the WFG race, and saw Jimi Nisula that races with us had qualified 12th,nicely done, and  against the fastest Sim racers around.

I tell u a few things I run on my setups and thats S7 tires for the race not S6.Also this mod is the first Mod I have ever seen that allows you to go negative with the DF settings which to me would be much better if you couldn"t do that as the cars would handle so much better with a 2/10 DF setting.I also run a symetrical setup,I think your overthinking things alittle too much, because with S7 tires you only have to do about 15 laps or so before you change tires and S7"s last just fine.

Also,I have given out setups plenty of times but this season I have 2 teamates and don"t think it"s fair to possibly help other people finish ahead of my teamates. When I started running the EGT mod last season,I missed the first half of the season and had some catching up to do as far as learning the car and this rediculous DF setting, and never once asked Mikee while he was dominating to help me out.Part of racing is learning to setup your car, after all this is a competition, thats why I do this. Most of us have that competitiveness in us and strive to do the best we can each week, whether its 1st place or 10th place.Setup is huge no doubt, but consitantcy is just as important and most guys could improve in that area, myself included.
As far as qualifying setup goes, drop the fuel, put S6 tires and hang on,thats about it.

I look more forward to passing a kidney stone than driving these cars ;D.The previous mod someone released for RF2 was atrocious,I need to hear the roar of an engine I hope F1 and Indycar don"t go this route anytime soon.

It"s not as bad in the GT cars as it was in the GP3,as those cars are sprung alot stiffer. This track is borderline Impossible at night haha, would hate to try a night race at a track like this, takes alot of concentration just to keep it off the walls in the day time.

This Brabham BT44B 1975 car is amazing to drive, these guys do a great job with the Physics even if it"s not finished yet.Much better than that other 1975 F1 mod.

this version is way too bumpy, almost as severe as hitting pot holes.Tried it in the GP3 car, plus I was getting in the 40"s frame rate wise, and it didn"t really look any better than the version we ran in the LMP"s.Needs some work.

General Discussion / Re: Funny iRacing Vs rF2 comparison
« on: July 24, 2017, 06:25:22 pm »

Funny guy,I see you sent him an invitation to VRC,hopefully he gives it a try here.I have Iracing and I agree,it"s BS,if you stop paying the membership fees you can"t use the game, which for me,has cost me over 600.00.Iceracing does have the best tracks though, and I see why the top simracers compete on there for the prizes, but I still think the tire model/Physics is superior in RF2.And with Studio 397 taking over RF2 I believe it will become alot more popular for League racing.I buy almost all the Sim games out there but always prefer RF2 over all the others.

I agree,RF2 has the best Physics and FF.I could never get my wheel to feel right in P cars,I"m sure P cars 2 will be much better Physics wise just hoping you don"t need a super computer to play it.
