Hello from Belgium
« on: May 07, 2017, 08:46:26 pm »
Hello

I'm Joris from Belgium. I've been simracing for a long time, but only since a year or so I try to do club races or easy-going leagues (in Rf2). The site (simracingteam.de) I use for URD-races decided to stop due to time constraints to organise everything... Before I used Racedepartment a lot but a the moment they don't have club races. So I searched for other groups that shared a similar spirit: fair racing, but not on a dead-serious level, and where the schedule (other hobbies..., you know), type of races... suits me.
And that's how I found this group.

I'm still working on my rig. Just bought a 32" monitor. Previously I just used my laptop. Next step: a desktop for simracing.

Welcome Joris. Glad to see you are interested in our group. You have described us pretty well. Not too serious but serious enough not to put up with crash kiddies. We have drivers of all experience levels from complete amateurs to seasoned veterans to out of the world aliens. There should be a driver near your experience level and offer competition. If you have any questions of concerns please feel free to post in the forums or ask them on our Teamspeak channel on race days.

Thanks for joining us and I hope to see you on track.

Welcome also on my behalf!

If you are interested how you compare to our other members in terms of speed, look around at the archive board or shoutbox history, there are some results along with laptimes. Consider that those times are usually made with lots of rubber and after great amount of practice.

See you on track!

Joris, if you plan on joining us for the points race on Sunday you'll need to register for the series on the forums here. You can do that through the Ceres registration section. Simply figure out which car you want to drive, you'll only need to announce the manufacturer not the specific car number or anything like that. Once you've selected the vehicle you wish to drive let us know in the forums during registration, and then join us on Sunday. It's still pretty early in the season and you can earn points every week that you run.

Hope to see you on track.

Thanks. Too bad I'll leave for a holiday on sunday. So this and next sunday are a bit difficult.

I don't mind having to wait a season.

As for the car: that's already decided. There's only one car I already have some setups for.
@Marketcrash16: so I'll have to change car. I've been wanting to try out the Viper but never got to do it.

June 12, 2017, 09:23:14 pm Stevo says: good idea Ignacio, look forward to this. I think everyone would. just imagine 200 streamers watching the biggest wreckin rookie in action and you whaling on about me. yeah my face is going beetroot as i speak

June 12, 2017, 08:12:48 pm Chad Brown says: I think that would be a grand idea Ignacio. You have the pleasure of watching the race and we get the pleasure of pretending we are actually professional drivers. LOL. I think it would be cool to have someone announcing the race live in a stream. If you are keen to do so I would not say no.

June 12, 2017, 03:04:17 pm i_hortal says: dont think so, unless a miracle happens this week. ive had awful luck this past months. :/

June 12, 2017, 12:45:18 pm Tig_green says: I like the idea Ignacio. I have had a secret wish that this would happen someday. Not sure where you find people who are willing to do this instead of racing... You won't be racing in Sebring?

June 12, 2017, 12:17:02 pm i_hortal says: how would you feel if i do stream your races and do commentary while i wait for my own driving :D ? maybe i can get someone else in the booth as im leaned more on the technical side and i alwady do regular streams on twitch.
