Haha Simon, I was just about to mention this, as the guy that does the other one is about to move to Australia and so will not be available for a while.

Chad...

If you need help with technical details of things like mysql, etc...

I hack that stuff for a living. I wouldn't market myself as a pro, I simply am forced to be McGyver with this stuff as adjunct to my day job as a computational biologist.

Let's get together for a talk soon. I really miss the lap time log. I like to know how i stand relative to other league participants as we approach race day.

Just an fyi: if you click on the liveracer servers on this site, you get an 'about: blank'.

Thanks for the offer Dan. I'll be getting in contact with you or the next couple of days to try to figure out how to get this up and running. I don't believe that the SLS has live-timing the same way that live racer did, or at least if it does I didn't find it in the literature.

Mongoose app any good for this ?

https://code.google.com/archive/p/mongoose/
f people are interested in hosting their own webserver. There is a super simple free webserver for windows called Mongoose. It is a single 140kb EXE that you just drop in a folder and then double click on. By default the it hosts whatever is in the folder that you dropped the exe in. So setting up the server could be as simple as just dropping the EXE into your Packages folder and double clicking on it. By default Mongoose uses port 8080. Keep in mind that it doesn't do any throttling so you will need to configure QoS on your router to limit the webserver otherwise it will eat all your bandwidth and cause drivers on your server to start warping all over the track.

I installed wamp server. The problem I am having is trying to figure out how to install SLS on the server and get it too function properly before actually putting it on the web
