Laguna Seca test server
« on: June 14, 2017, 04:45:50 pm »
I have put up a test server for Laguna Seca. One of the reasons I have not used Laguna Seca in our recent series is due to some bumps in the track which had been throwing cars into the air. This was discovered while using the P1 mod. I think though that the EGT cars sit off the ground enough for this to not be a problem. I recall having this problem with Donington as well and we didnt have any issues with the EGT cars.

So in an effort to have Laguna Seca included in our next series I would like for you all to test this version of the track with the EGT cars and report any problems. I will continue to put up test tracks in preparation for next the next points series.

In order to win you need to be willing to roll the dice.

Hmmm I don't know about this one...

I LOVE Laguna Seca, but this version is kind of a butchering unfortunately :/

The first 4 or 5 turns are OK and then ooof..... no bueno.

I vote pass  :'(

I have a memory that it gets pretty bumpy on the last sector of the track no matter the car or the track version currently available. I might refresh my memory on this matter.
In order to win you need to be willing to roll the dice.

I agree with Jan.
I vote pass on this track too.
The cork screw is ridiculous, not at all accurate.
I'm used to the IRacing version and this version feels all wonky as well as the car seems to bob around like a rubber ducky in the bath tub.

Not that I've every driven the real track, but the corkscrew does feel weird on this version. I know it doesn't have to be accurate for us to race, but it just seems a little unrealistic.
I do like the fact that they have modelled the drainage grate on the inside of the corkscrew. On TV, I've seen "The Doctor" ride his MotoGP over this while passing people!  :o

June 12, 2017, 08:12:48 pm Chad Brown says: I think that would be a grand idea Ignacio. You have the pleasure of watching the race and we get the pleasure of pretending we are actually professional drivers. LOL. I think it would be cool to have someone announcing the race live in a stream. If you are keen to do so I would not say no.

June 12, 2017, 03:04:17 pm i_hortal says: dont think so, unless a miracle happens this week. ive had awful luck this past months. :/

June 12, 2017, 12:45:18 pm Tig_green says: I like the idea Ignacio. I have had a secret wish that this would happen someday. Not sure where you find people who are willing to do this instead of racing... You won't be racing in Sebring?

June 12, 2017, 12:17:02 pm i_hortal says: how would you feel if i do stream your races and do commentary while i wait for my own driving :D ? maybe i can get someone else in the booth as im leaned more on the technical side and i alwady do regular streams on twitch.
