Weird Setup Issue
« on: August 24, 2017, 01:42:21 am »
Ok so I posted on the Studio 397 forum about a strange setup issue I have been having and it is happening again tonight.

Offline the car drives totally different to how it drives on the server and please give me some credit for knowing how a green track and rubbered in track feels and the differences this makes  :P.

However, tonight I noticed when I am offline I cannot adjust the Engine Mix setting and the Rev Limiter goes to 6,900.  Where as on the server the limiter goes only to 6,600 max and now I can adjust the fuel mix again.  And before you ask yes I am in the same car.

Why would these things be different for the C7R?  I wonder if somehow this is a different model??

By the way I checked this with the Aston and these settings are the same offline and on the server.

Rick said it"s because when Simon put up his server he has a different version of the EGT mod and I guess it was before they implemented the fuel mixture settings in RF2.I noticed that also,so you"ll have to tweak your setup on the race server ;D

Silly question but when offline you are in the 2015 not the 2014 C7r
just tried and can only get no mixture and 9k rev limit with the 2014 car above in the same mod

In the 2015 on and off line. Could quite possibly be bugged then? I notice that when I joined your server first time, it downloaded the C7 again. I fixed it once, let me look at the files and do it again. I'll post screen shots of what I find, because there were definitely extra files last time I did it.

Thanks for looking at this guys.

I knew there was something strange happening.

Maybe I don't have the latest URD version installed locally, as I assumed it would auto update with steam and forgot it was a totally separate paid mod.  How do you actually go about getting updates from them?

So Rick is the idea just to delete the older versions and that fixes this issue?

Ok I only have the 2.0(1) directory, so I deleted this and it appears to have fixed the issue on the setup screen.  I then checked the mod manager and saw that I had duplicates of a few other mods, including the GP3 mod, so have remove all the older versions and now hopefully just have one setup loading for each car!

Thanks again I would never have figure this out!
