VRC Series' sign ups / Re: VRC GT3 2019 Spring Series Sign Up
« on: April 23, 2019, 06:43:18 pm »
Sorry guys, I won't be able to make Sunday races this season.
Hopefully that can change in the future.
But for now, I'll be racing at CMS on Thursday nights instead.

I still think of VRC as my "home" league even if I'm not currently racing in it. Admins, you've got a good thing going here!

Yeah, what Phil said. Just keeping focus and not making mistakes over 12 hours is an amazing feat!
I too was very impressed with the livestream and how professional the event was. Hopefully it is the first of many more to come as rF2 develops.
It was great to see the VRC Aston Martin out there!
Pretty cool to see Max Verstappen too! :-)
Congrats to all of you for racing so professionally in such an auspicious event.

Chad,
Do you mean you can now add overlays inside the VR headset?
Does that mean we could add a trackmap or some of those other cool overlays inside the Oculus Rift?
Maybe we should start a new thread for this and a few directions for the less tech savvy like me!

I'm really digging the Audi. Seems very well planted. No drama.
Not so with Princess 911. That back end has a mind of its own! (well, let's just say lifting off over a crest is not as forgiving as other cars)
I did notice that the 911 default traction control setting is 1. I would have thought that of any of these cars, THIS is the one that should have had a higher default setting, not lower.
Looking forward to the Aston Martin. I remember the last one had the grunt of the Corvette but seemed to handle better. That might be for me.
So maybe AM, but probably R8.
Like David said, different driving styles will suit different cars. This will make the series very interesting.

I notice none of these cars have rear view cameras. Just mirrors. Is the camera just a GTE thing?

I feel like a kid who got up too early on Christmas morning and is waiting for his parents to get up so he can open presents!
I don't see anything on Steam yet.

By the way, another plug for VR racing. With VR, not only am I looking forward to the new car's performance and exteriors, but the INTERIORS are exciting too!

Vehicle Setups / Re: track conditions and setups changes
« on: November 27, 2018, 09:41:20 pm »
Paulo,
I don't have any answers for you. But I understand what you are asking.
We always seem to have setup guides based on how the car is behaving. (like the one I have attached here)
I have never seen a setup guide based on track conditions.
It would make sense that there could be rules of thumb for track changes like track temperature and amount of rubber. But I haven't seen any yet.

Hey guys,
I will try to attend some of the Sunday races. But I can't commit to all of them.
I'm gonna try the C7 this season.

From S397...
"Our final announcement at the expo was a new material and lighting system, which is currently in progress, and is based on physically based rendering (PBR)."

That's the worst beer ever! They should be drinking something better than that while developing their material and lighting system.  :D

Allessandro,
This isn't tire temps but...
I just noticed that if you look at the results from our races on simresults.net and you click on Race -> Race Laps, you'll get a listing of everyone's laps. Find the section for you and you'll see the tire wear in % on each lap.
Looking at your Hockenheim results, it looks like you opted to just change the rear tires on your pit stop. How did that work for you?

VRC Series' sign ups / Re: VRC 2018 Fall Mixed-Class Series
« on: August 19, 2018, 07:00:35 pm »
dulelelen1,
Take a look in the Hockenheim thread.
You'll see that I couldn't get in earlier in the week. And you'll see the suggestion that worked which was to delete the Endurance pack and reinstall it. There's instructions from Marketcrash in the thread of how to do that.
Hope that works.

Porsche RSR
Not sure what my schedule is yet. But I hope to race in this fine league of gentlemen!
I won't be able to make the Le Mans race... because I'll be at COTA watching the US F1 GP, IRL!
